Meet your Surgeon

Early on in surgical training, Dr. Kumar realized that his interest wasn’t just in anatomy—it was in identity, and how delicate changes could transform the way someone feels about themselves. He was drawn to the details, the subtle ones that foster stability and define individuality.

Facial Plastic Surgery sits at the intersection of form, function, and feeling. The work is highly technical, but also deeply human. Dr. Kumar chose this field because it allows him to use his hands and eyes as tools for healing, optimization, and restoration. He is able to practice precision and restraint. And it offers the privilege of connecting with people in moments of vulnerability, transformation, and self-rediscovery.

Outside of surgery, Dr. Kumar found inspiration in visual arts, especially photography, dance, and sculpture. These practices have trained his eye to see balance, movement, and proportion in a way that naturally informs his surgical work. His aesthetic is clean, understated, and timeless. Nothing flashy. Just the quiet confidence of feeling like yourself. Refreshed. Elevated.

He approaches his work with care, curiosity, and the belief that stellar and enduring results begin with genuine connection and mutual understanding. That’s what he values most: the relationship. He takes this journey seriously because it’s never just about the surface—it’s about how you progress through the world.

Philosophy

Trained in head and neck surgery—including cancer, trauma, and complex conditions that affect our most vital senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell, and sensation—I developed a profound respect for this part of us and how it impacts our sense of self. I noticed patients with afflictions of their head and neck were impacted in a way that was much more than physical or external. It was reflective, inward, and deeply personal. In that way, I learned that every area carries meaning. Each space is communicative. Every detail matters.

I bring that same sensitivity to Facial Aesthetic Surgery. To me, the most powerful outcomes are never loud or obvious – they are natural, refined, and quietly transformative. The goal is not to chase trends or alter who you are, but to reveal the best version of you with grace, longevity, and integrity.

The face is expressive art. But this is not strictly a technical craft, and that is what has truly drawn me here. Surgery in this practice is a shared journey between you, me, and my team. We take the time to understand your story, your goals, and what helps you feel most confident, most authentic. That connection, built on trust and care, continues beyond recovery. My patients become part of a lasting relationship. You are never just a case. You become family.
